The new SECUMAR SCOUT is much more than just a new Lifejacket. It is the central element of a complete rescue system, which extremely increases the probability of a quick rescue of someone who has fallen overboard. Because the new SCOUT is equipped with an integrated AIS S.A.R.T. Rescue Transmitter equipped. The easyRESCUE-BW-COM activates itself automatically when the lifejacket’s floating body is inflated, since a magnetic switch is opened by means of a rip cord. after activation, the device receives the current GPS position and transmits it via AIS message to every AIS receiver within the transmission range. Your own ship with AIS equipment on board notices the emergency situation immediately and can approach the casualty precisely, since the GPS position is updated every minute and “driving data” such as course and speed over ground are also transmitted. You gain valuable time!

The lifejacket fits snugly and is comfortable for movement. The SCOUT 3D swimming body has the shape of a third dimension: two large, triangular air cushions ensure a large lever arm that turns the body into a safe supine position in the water – against the buoyancy forces and air pockets of cold protective clothing and dry suits in the wrong places. At the same time, the steeply rising cushions of the SCOUT 3D serve as carriers for the emergency transmitter and the distress light. The antenna and light are positioned high above the waterline for improved radiation.
