Conflict Minerals Policy
This document contains Weatherdock statement regarding the content of Conflict Minerals in our products.
“Conflict Minerals” refers to minerals or other derivatives (specifically, Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten, and Gold) mined in the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and in the adjoining countries where the use of the Conflict Minerals may be directly or indirectly financing human rights violations or benefiting armed groups in those countries.
In July 2010, the United States adopted the section 1502 of DoddFrank Financial Reform and Consumer Protection Act requiring all US public companies and their suppliers to disclose the chain of custody usage of conflict minerals.
Weatherdock fully supports this legislation and its position is to avoid the use of conflict minerals. Weatherdock does not procure Conflict Minerals directly from mines or smelters; nevertheless Weatherdock has begun to embark upon the process of working with our suppliers to ensure that no conflict minerals will be used in our products. Weatherdock is adopting standards in line with the EICC/GeSI Standard, regarding our process to obtain chain of custody declarations from all Weatherdock sourced and managed suppliers.
In addition suppliers must pass this requirement through their own supply chain and determine the source of specified minerals.
Weatherdock expects all of its suppliers that they provide written evidence of due diligence documenting that raw materials as gold, tin, tantalum and tungsten, supplied to or used in the manufacturing of Weatherdock products, do not originate from mining or smelting operations in the Conflict Region. Due diligence from each supplier must include, where applicable, completion of the EICC-GeSI Conflict Minerals reporting template.
Rest assured, Weatherdock will maintain its excellent business ethics and pursue its corporate social responsibility at all times.
